This Bankura Private Industrial Training Institute is run and managed by the Jagadish Chandra Foundation.

Industrial Training Institute (ITI's) is the Institute which provide training in technical field in India. Normally a person who has passed 10 standards (SSLC) is eligible for admission to ITI.

The Craftsmen Training Scheme was introduced by the Government of India in 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the domestic industry, to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the industrial production through systematic training, to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by providing them employable training.

The course in ITI is designed in way to impart basic skill in the trade specified. Most of ITI's impart training in technical trades like electrician, fitter, welder, surveyor etc. ITI qualified persons can set up their own workshop, garage, motor/ generator/ transformer winding shops or fabrication shops depending upon trade opted. There is a huge scope to get a job in Private Sector and Government Sector as well as in abroad.
